Changes I have made to my Kukri , Service

Notch and Sharpening changes -why?.
Formerly, as shown several pictures down, I would keep a duller "safety zone" in front of the blade. This was done in case my hand were to slip from the handle.
Saw a "special forces golok, which featured a fully sharpened blade.

Re-working my "notch" allowed for further sharpening of my Kukri , Service.

Notch Details
Kukri, Service is not unlike the military ones. Note the notch (kaura) in front of the handle. (Significant to Kukri Religiosity)
First re-working. "Kaura" is cut down.
Later format for this kukri. "Clean" notch added.
Newest format. Notch has been re-worked, area in front of now sharp. Handle is slimmer. Larger picture of notch is shown below.

Re-sharpening of blade, removing the "safety zone."
This is what I last recommend.
Present changes.
Re-worked notch has more stopping power to keep your fingers out of the blade. Newly sharpened blade after notch may allow more versatile use of blade. Care is advised. A kukri will cut you or whatever is presented to it.
