An Article I am writing on Love.

I was working away this afternoon, and God stopped me and had me write
the following article. You will probably find some mis-spelled words and
some grammatical errors. Ignore them and read for content. After all the
article is about God loving us, and we loving each other. However, if
you have additional input or suggestions, please feel free to email me
what you like or don't like.

Everyone is a slave whether they believe it or not.

You are either a slave to the Love of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, or you are are slave to the false love of Satan, his angels, and his demons. Most of us are torn between the two. Some us are more on the side of Satan, and some of us are more on the side of God.  We tend to see God or Satan as our lovers. In addition, some of us are in between We are like the old song says, "Torn between two lovers".  Whether we claim to be Christians or not does not seem to make a difference.

Why? because most of us are afraid of God and Satan.  We really don't want to be a lover to either one.  Without realizing it, we are deceived by Satan into the greatest trap of all, we believe that we can get love by our own power without the help of God, or Satan. This state is known as our old nature. It is a trap of Satan to make us believe that he is not operating in our life, and that we can get love and acceptance on our own.  We can get it from our friends or from the people that we are associated with.  On one side we can be highly dedicated "Church attenders and participators" and on the other, "Party attenders and participators.  Or, we can be somewhere in between.

Others believe that we can get love from our achievements or accomplishments. People who accept us this way do not really love us, they tend to worship us.  A lot of movie stars and musicians are this way.  Some of us even go to the extreme and have given up on love, and are content to just be recognized or worshipped by other people as a substitute for love.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, there is only one way we can know true love.  The bible says it this way.  If you do not truly love, you have not have come into relationship and fellowship with God.

The following is based on 1 John 4:8-20
 

You do not and have never known Him.  Why, because God is Love.  How do we experience that Love. God in His Love sent His only Son so that we might live in God's Love through his Son.  What is Love, not that we Loved God first, but that He loved us and sent His Son to take all the blame and punishment for us for our unloving and evil actions, and to set us free from the power of Satan.

If God loved us so very much we should also love each other.  None of us has at any time seen God.  However, if we love one another, God's Love lives and remains in us and His Love (the Love that is uniquely His) is brought to completion. It is brought to full completeness and maturity
in us.

How do we know if we abide in God's Love?  Because He has given us Jesus and the Holy Spirit to bear witness in our spirit and conscience that we are Loved.

God is Love and those of us who dwell in and continue in His Love dwells and continues in God , and God dwells and continues in them.  In this union and communion with God, Love is brought to completion and attains perfection in each of us.

There is no fear in God's Love-dread does not exist; but full-grown, complete, perfect Love turns fear out the door--expels every trace of terror. For fear brings with it the thought of punishment and so he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of Love-is not yet grown into Love's complete perfection.

Therefore, if you are truly filled with the Love of God, you will automatically love yourself and your friends and neighbors.
