Paul's Comment on Chuck and Cliff.
Chuck Youngbrandt and Cliff Collins, together, were the ones who first gave the prophecies.
"Jesus, Why are you showing me all this?", Chuck Asked.
"That my children should prepare their hearts for these things and believe on me, for I am able to supply all your needs in every adversity. That you walk in faith and not fear. That you stand upon my promises and see them. That you abide in my love and know that I am the Lord thy God."
People have spent so much time attacking Chuck Youngbrandt that they do not see the truth in the original prophecies, as given. ( Note that Cliff Collins split off from the two, when Youngbrandt set a particular day in the seventies for the day of the Earthquake.)
Personally, I don't feel free to attack either of the men. Many people prayed and repented, in the first years the prophecies were broadcast, and asked God to change His mind. Now, as nothing happened back then, they say that Youngbrandt was in error. They take the directions and tangents his life has taken since then, and thrown their political stones at him.
The prophecies, as first given, were true. Now, as you look around this nation, you wonder if they might still happen, yet.
They prophecies spoke of God Judging this nation, and saving a Remnant, very small and weak. That was not a really popular word to give to people.
Now, I am surmising here, but I think that people, in fear, began to ask Chuck for specific dates for what would happen. Getting them made people feel better, and gave Mr. Youngbrandt some accolades.
Then, when things did not happen when stated, it gave a reason for people to think that none of what was said was true, could be true, or ever would be true.
That is dangerous ground, in my mind. It is, however, a very popular set of opinions to hold.
